SIMEI (the International Trade Fair for Winemaking and Bottling Technology), organised by the Unione Italiana Vini since 1963, is the most important international trade fair for wine and beverage technology. Around 700 exhibitors take part in the event, representing Italian excellence in the manufacturing of machinery and equipment for the wine production cycle in all its phases: processing, filling and conditioning, packaging and logistics. The event attracts 31,000 visitors (data for the 2015 edition).
